This riff of an Old Fashioned is the perfect cocktail to make with Wild Parallel Toasted Barrel Finish. The bitter Italian liqueur, vanilla syrup, and orange bitters combined with the smooth vanilla and caramel notes from the Wild Parallel Toasted Barrel to become a smooth, sweet old fashioned reminiscent of an orange creamsicle.

2 oz Wild Parallel Toasted Barrel Finish
1/2 oz Italian bitter liqueur
1/4 oz vanilla syrup
2 dashes orange bitters

Method: Stirred
Glass: Rocks
Garnish: Half orange wheel dipped in white chocolate

Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice and stir. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish.

Vanilla Syrup Recipe:
20 oz sugar
20 oz water
1/2 oz vanilla extract

  • Heat water until just under a boil, add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • Cool and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Refrigerate.
