2 oz Wild Parallel Straight Bourbon
1/4 oz demerara syrup
2 dashes aromatic bitters
Method: Stirred
Glassware: Rocks
Garnish: Orange peel
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice and stir. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and garnish.
Demerara Syrup Recipe:
32 oz brown sugar
16 oz water
Combine sugar and water and dissolve over heat.
Simmer and stir for 20 minutes or until slight thickening occurs.
Cool and refrigerate.
Yield: 2 quarts
Shelf Life: 3 weeks
