Boxley Vodka, watermelon, lime, and mint… what more could you need? Combining spirits, sugar, and citrus became popular in the early 1900s and has continued to this day. This is the perfect drink for firing up the grill, watching the game, hanging out next to a body of water, and taking in some rays.
2 oz Boxley Vodka
3/4 oz watermelon syrup
3/4 oz lime juice
Method: Shaken
Glass: Rocks
Garnish: Mint sprig
Pour all ingredients into a shaker tin, add ice and shake. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and garnish.
Watermelon Syrup Recipe:
16 oz fresh watermelon
8 oz sugar
.5 oz Boxley Vodka
Combine watermelon and sugar in a jar or a zippered plastic bag.
Muddle them together a bit and put the bag or jar in the refrigerator.
After 24 hours, stir up the contents until all the sugar is dissolved.
Strain and refrigerate.
Yield: 12-14 oz
